Great news on the restaurant front as it’s been reported that IHOP and Applebee’s are in the process of getting approvals for restaurants near the new Super Target and Kohl’s.
This is fabulous news for the Smyrna real estate market, as Smyrna continues to build on the necessary resources to become a destination marketplace for home buyers…
Well, it’s been a while since we’ve given an update on Smyrna development news, and there have been a lot of changes going on! Kohl’s is open. Super Target and JC Penney will be open by Christmas. We’re still waiting for Staples and PetSmart and Ross Dress for Less to announce their openings.
The previously announced dual/dueling movie theaters have decided to combine forces for a single movie theater.
There are several new businesses locating in the recently-finished retail spaces along Sam Ridley Parkway. It’s a great time to live in Smyrna TN!
The Daily News Journal reports that Depot Days in Smyrna was a smashing success, reminding Smyrna residents of the glory days of downtown Smyrna and serving as the first of what we hope are many examples of Smyrna downtown revitalization. Check out the article!
US News & World Report declared Smyrna to be one of the top-ten cities for retirement in their September issue. You can find out more in their article. Of course, we always knew that Smyrna was a great place to live. The magazine article notes that “The small but growing town boasts 10 parks, a public golf course, and 7 miles of greenways.”
