Profile: Smyrna

The Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce has put together a profile of Smyrna, Tennessee.  According to that profile, Smyrna’s growth rate is five times the national average.  The profile briefly addresses some of the development expected in Smyrna over the next year or two.  Check it out!

Here’s an informal list we’re keeping of what’s new, or going to be new, in Smyrna:

  • Home Depot on Sam Ridley opened November 2006;
  • Kohl’s is open; Super Target scheduled for late 2007;
  • Publix and Starbucks on Sam Ridley Parkway;
  • Movie theater off Sam Ridley looks to be after 2007;
  • Smyrna Commons groundwork underway on Nissan Drive; will include a grocery store and other development to be announced;
  • Greenway walking trail extended from Community Center to Lake;
  • New park on Enon Springs opened in 2006;
  • Chik-Fil-A is here;
  • New restaurants: Jim & Nick’s; Hickory Falls; Raz’z…
